• Futons: Futon beds are originally from Japan and were designed to focus on minimum space occupation. In the 80s, Americans and Europeans was very inspired by the eastern culture and the Futon came into the western culture along with several variations. In Japan, a futon used to be a thin mattress that can be easily taken away to spare the space. In the western world, a futon has a plain and light frame of wood or even iron.
